UKLC iTeach Founding Members Launch
Hey friends…
Here at UKLC we have an idea brewing in our heads and we can’t let it go. It’s got us SO excited.
But it’s really “raw” right now (so please be gentle ?).
However, did we mention that it’s got us SUPER excited? And how we’d love to involve you?
Here’s the backstory…
When the Covid 19 crisis hit us and we couldn’t run all our programmes over Easter we were frustrated. It was and still is such a difficult time for everyone. We really wanted to do something positive and serve the people who work with us. So, we decided to offer FREE teacher development sessions online thinking that if we helped a few teachers, that would be great. But then, it exploded! You signed up in your hundreds for the sessions and the feedback was so positive.
Then we started getting private messages from people who reached out with questions like “is there a way to stay connected after the free teacher training?” or “is there a way to go deeper with this content?” or “how can I stay connected to this community?”
Prior to this, we had never considered having a space for a community of teachers to grow together throughout the entire year.
But the more questions we received like this and the more of you who joined our Facebook community, the more the wheels began turning.
We started to see a place where we could…
Offer more teacher training on a monthly basis to really dive into some of the topics we have covered and tonnes of others
or
Provide you with teaching resources and materials that will really help you in your classroom every single day
or even…
Create a worldwide community of Teachers of English who exchange ideas and support one another
Like we said, it’s still raw.
But you see the potential right?
We can’t stop thinking about where a community dedicated just to Teachers of English, could lead us in 1 year, 3 years or 5 years from now.
THAT’S what gets us excited.
It’s the progress we would all make by staying together with such a tight focus – that’s what gets us all fired up.
But here’s what we are VERY clear on…
We can’t do this alone and we don’t have all the answers.
Currently, this idea is very rough around the edges.
It’s definitely not perfect (yet) and there are many things we still need to work out.
But the vision is there. And that’s why we’d love to extend an early invitation to you. We want you to be part of this… especially if you’re willing to help us shape this idea.
Meaning, if you join us now as a founding member and you’re willing to help contribute ideas on how we can make this THE best place to support Teachers of English to gain a greater understanding of their subject and acquire deeper knowledge of both subject-related topics and didactic methodology AND become part of a worldwide community of teachers and a movement to improve the teaching of English worldwide, then we are willing to extend a very favourable “founding member” price to you.
When this offer is extended to all teachers, we anticipate the starting price for this to be somewhere in the neighbourhood of £15 per month.
(which will be a no brainer given that we’ll be helping people become the best teacher they can be and be giving them ideas, resources and teaching materials to boot).
Here’s the best part though…
Join me today as a founding member and your price will be £5 per month. AND… you’ll be locked into that founding member price for as long as you remain a member.
So, even when we do roll this out to all teachers at the higher price, your price will always be the founding member price.
As I said, all the details for this are not figured out yet. Nothing has officially been created yet, but we are working on an incredible platform for you. And we expect some of the best ideas will come from you and others who join us as founding members.
The goal is to officially launch this on 1st September 2020.
So, between now and then, things will be happening fast and furious based on the ideas flowing back and forth between founding members.
With all that said, what we are clear about is how this community will serve all of us as we progress towards improving the teaching of English worldwide. That’s what excites us.
