UKLC – GDPR Update

April 27th 2018

In a highly digitised world, companies collect and hold sensitive personal information on their customers. There is significant risk if this information is stolen or abused.

So, in April 2016, the European Parliament officially adopted General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to specify how customer information should be used and protected. It comes into effect as law on 25th May 2018.

It applies to everyone involved in processing data about individuals in the context of selling goods and services to citizens in the EU.

At UKLC we take data privacy and protection very seriously. In the light of GDPR, we have been reviewing all the data we collect and hold on our students, staff and agents and ensuring that we comply to the new laws so that everyone can continue to deal with us with trust and confidence.

We will shortly be contacting all the agents on our database to ask them to agree to remaining on our system and therefore continue to receive all our news and offers.
